Explorers Of Melbourne

Footscray and Kensington are home to many interesting buildings, and are a perfect day trip for any avid explorer. From the hauntingly derelict shoe factory to the empty warehouses that line their industrial zones there’s just so much to explore. The photos below are from a number of locations apart from those already mentioned, including a forgotten chop shop that was filled with arcade cabinets, a slaughterhouse and a titanic wheat mill that looms over most of our western suburbs (not to mention a Buddhist temple ) . This trip was extraordinary, and it introduced me to many of the owners of these sites who were willing to allow me to photograph their property! I bumped into the new owner of the wheat mill, who plans to turn the place into a street art gallery. I do plan to return and do some climbing there, but it honestly seemed like…
